"The most polished bubble popper to date." -Gamezebo Reached #15 Top Free Game on IOS
Bubble Mania climbed the app charts and became a top free / top grossing game on Android & IOS. As Senior UI/UX Designer, I provided interactive UX prototypes for the games core loop, UI style guidance, feedback animations, animated transitions and helped with XCode implementation. Bubble Mania's success provided a platform for future consecutive hits like Jewel Mania, Fruit Mania and Candy Blast Mania which all made top free or top grossing charts on Android & IOS.
The most challenging aspect of this project was trying to convince our project manager for Bubble Mania, that it was OK to try a new interaction model for navigating throughout the game. Through successful presentation of flash prototype animations we were able to get our UI engineers on board with a concept that they were excided to run with and build into a quick high fidelity prototype. After a bit of controversy related to how different and risky our propoesed interaction model was, Bubble Mania was eventually on it's way! :) The most awesome kudo for this project was seeing how many other studios rushed to duplicate the magic we had created.
